Gift of Education

“Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world.”
-Nelson Mandela
Despite ample amount of light shed upon education being the cornerstone of development by prominent world leaders and empowering personages throughout history, even today 617 million children and adolescents around the world are unable to reach minimum proficiency in reading and mathematics (UNICEF).
With the spirit of making a difference in the heartbreaking situation presented above, members of Paalan Foundation are all set to bring an impact!

Drive 1

24th August 2021
Gift of Education

On the afternoon of 24th August 2021, Our volunteers set out on their way to SKV 1 Model Town, Delhi in order to distribute over 150 books to the children who do not possess the means to afford the bare necessity of curriculum books. We take unfathomable pride in reducing even a single number in the humungous 617 million figure as these little efforts eventually end up bringing about significant differences in the big picture.

The drive was wholly planned out and conducted by two of Paalan’s young volunteers- Divyanshi and Chavvi who have not only laid the foundation of this initiative with serene, optimistic intentions but has also been at the backend of managing all of the tasks and mitigating issues throughout a period of nearly one month. They both deserve a virtual round of applause for their unflinching efforts!

Also, we would like to extend a special token of gratitude to Shefali Ma'am who through her network helped us connect to various schools and Chirag Bansal, Anmol Saini, Devanshi Soni and Komal Kataria, who made sure of the smooth conduct of this drive. It would be an understatement to assert that this drive wouldn’t have been possible without their support and efforts!

This Winter, Let Everyone Celebrate The Frosty Weather

With a mission of instilling an element of peace in the minds and souls of the youth of the country, three members of the Paalan family set out to undertake the second edition of project education where we distributed fifty wholesome, creative packages of stationery for every little dream that takes birth in a student’s heart, for every little piece of art which would reflect their unendingly fantastic imagination, and every word they would like to write which could change the world. Our heartfelt thanks to Komal, Anmol, Ishita and Devanshi who helped us transform this vision of ours into a successful drive. We are also extremely grateful to Mrs. Shefali Ma’am who has become the backbone of Paalan ever since the day she became a part of this family, and our generous donors Heera, Geeta, Shashi, Hariprakash, Shagun, Keshav, Tejas, Chhavi, Harsh, Mansha, Devansh and Varda who sponsored the kits.
